The main research interest of our institute concerns the molecular mechanisms governing the activation of Natural Killer (NK) cells in humans.
We are not only interested in elucidating basic molecular mechanisms of NK cell activation in order to foster the understanding of NK cell recognition of virus-infected cells and tumors. We also have a profound interest to translate these findings into clinically relevant applications.
